About the artist….

Beverly H. Coan has been involved in several realms of art throughout her life, earning many top awards for her work. She has found that through all of these mediums, Porcelain Doll Making brings them all together. Beverly has earned her Master of Arts degree along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
She has also received many trophies, rosettes and ribbons in various competitions such as IFDM, PDMN, CEFI and the Space Coast State Fair in her passion of making porcelain dolls since 1998. Her work has been featured in Doll Maker and Doll Costuming magazines, CNN,ABC,CBS, NBC, FOX NEWS, the Richmond Times , Florida Today, Star Advocate and Space Coast Express newspapers.
Beverly has been given the distinct honor by the Four Captains’ Memorial TM portraying porcelain likeness’ of the pilots of 9-11-01. The memorials are on display at the Pentagon, the Virginia Aviation Museum and are soon to be unveiled at Somerset, PA, the World Trade Center and the Smithsonian to be owned by the White House.
She has also been honored with the Virginia Aviation Museum exhibiting dolls in the likeness of Amelia Earhart, first female aviator, Bessie Coleman, first black female aviator and Ann B. Carl, first female jet pilot.
The Virginia Historical Museum also auctioned one of Beverly’s dolls, a likeness of Amelia Earhart.

Beverly is also a well known oil canvas artist with many commissioned works all over the country. She has earned many honors in various art competitions.
